The telenovela "God Save The King" opens on Uruguayan channel Teledoce. Set on medieval times, the plot is marked by the presence of both dramatic and comic elements, and remarkable computer-generated imagery and visual effects. "Deus Salve o Rei" completes the program schedule of the channel, which has already had two Globo telenovelas on: "Wounded Past", on air at 5pm, and "Rising Sun" (on air at 10pm), another hit licensed by Globo to over 100 countries.

Licensed to 28 countries, "God Save The King" was a hit on Globo prime time, in Brazil, reaching more than 45 million people in its last episode. Written by Daniel Adjafre and directed by Fabrício Mamberti, ‘God Save The King’ tells the story of two brothers, both princes that want to abdicate of the throne. Both have their own reasons – one is afraid of becoming a king and the other wants to declare his love by a commoner.

In the kingdoms of Montemor and Artena there was a regnant peace, but the decision of Alfonso (Rômulo Estrela, from ‘Lady Revolution’), heir to the throne of Montemor, grants his position to his brother so that he could live a forbidden love with the commoner Amalia (Marina Ruy Barbosa, from ‘Above Justice’ and ‘Total Dreamer’) was the one to bring an overturn to the story, breaking the peace and the alliance between kingdoms. When threatened by the plans of the ambitious princess Catarina (Bruna Marquezine, from ‘Nothing Remains the Same’), the couple needs to work hard to rewrite their story in an environment surrounded by power, passion and epic battles.

To bring medieval castles to life, besides vast fields and majestic scenery, the production was shot in a full indoor scenographic city at Globo Studios, with two warehouses of more than two thousand square meters. Practically all scenes have CGI that highlights details and the project aesthetic.
