The finale of the 9th season of "The Voice Kids" in the Netherlands on RTL 4 went out with a bang last Friday. After a season like none other, the reality singing competition ended with a first-ever semi-live finale due to the measures taken by the government because of Covid-19.

The final performances of the four kids were pre-recorded earlier last week and aired on its regular time slot on Friday night. Viewers were still able to vote, and the results were presented live on Friday during the talk show ‘Beau’.

With no audience allowed in the studio, a special Covid-19 proof skybox was built for the families of the young talents to cheer them on. Over 1.4 million viewers saw Dax being crowned the winner. The final episode scored a 32% market share in key demo (25-54) and was number 1 in its time slot.
