Be-Entertainment's format catalogue is gaining attention of European key players. After a first deal with VOX in Germany, production rights to "The Big Job Switch" have now been acquired by Denmark and Norway with Banijay, and for Italy with Blu Yazmine.

In Belgium, a second series is currently on its way to VTM produced by creator Geronimo. The first season of the format was very successful on VTM earlier this year, where it exceeded the channel average market share of 26.9% by more than 50% and proved to be particularly popular among young female viewers (25-44).

Be-Entertainment MD Gepke Nederlof says: “We're delighted to be able to announce new production deals for this great format that is so relevant at this time. We’re counting on more countries in Europe and beyond to soon start their own life-changing experiments.”

On the other hand, the UK is the latest of multiple production deals secured by Be-Entertainment for the music entertainment format "The Musical of Your Life". The deal with All3Media's Objective Media Group, will see the format produced by Triple Brew Media.

The UK pact marks the 10th production deal for the high-profile format over the past six months, since Be-Entertainment first introduced the format at this year’s MIPTV. Play4 in Belgium is set to air season 2 later this year, after a first season that saw the program increase the average market share by more than 200% and capturing the #1 slot for all eight episodes. In addition, production has started on the first season in Germany for Sat1. Other production deals have been confirmed in key territories, including Spain, Italy, Australia and the Nordics.

Gepke Nederlof added: “We’re thrilled to be teaming up with the talented and experienced team at Objective Media. They clearly get what this unique format is about and what it will take to turn it into a success for the UK market.”

Triple Brew’s Becca Walker adds: “This is a truly original way to rework the traditional biographical shows with a wonderful entertainment spin on it. We look forward to working alongside Be-Entertainment to bring this unique format to the UK.”
