Last night’s primetime launch of Be-Entertainment new reality renovation competition "Home Made Home" on VTM in Belgium scored both high ratings and positive press.

The timely format created and produced by Hotel Hungaria, in which young couples sustainably renovate 3 abandoned houses that for one lucky pair will ultimately become their dream home, launched with impressive numbers.

Capturing a substantial market share of 29,7% (Live + VOSDAL) in the key 18-44 demo an increase of 32% against the average YTD prime time channel share of 22,5% (18-44, Live + VOSDAL).

Says Be-Entertainment MD Gepke Nederlof, who will introduce the format internationally: “This new format is especially topical as the real estate market is becoming prohibitively expensive. Many young couples these days just can’t afford to buy their first home. Yet there are presently more than 60,000 abandoned houses in Belgium awaiting a total renovation. So what better way than to match the two in a TV format that offers these couples the chance to win their own dream house?”.
