Blink49 Studios and Piller/Segan have entered a multi-year joint venture to co-develop and co-produce a slate of high-end scripted and unscripted projects. The partnership will see both companies pool financial and creative resources to create premium IP for the international marketplace.

The agreement builds on a well-established working relationship between Blink49 CEO John Morayniss and Piller/Segan partners Lloyd Segan and Shawn Piller. Their previous collaborations include “Private Eyes” and the fan-favorite “Haven,” both produced during Morayniss’s tenure at eOne. The companies are currently in production on season 3 of “Wild Cards” for CBC and The CW, with a fourth season already greenlit.

“This joint venture is a natural evolution of the trust and creative synergy we’ve built over many years,” said Morayniss. “With our combined financial commitment and infrastructure, Blink49 Studios and Piller/Segan are well-positioned to deliver globally resonant storytelling and provide creators with the resources they need to succeed.”

Lloyd Segan added, “We’re thrilled to formalize this next chapter with John and the incredible team at Blink49 Studios. This venture gives us the reach and flexibility to champion a wide range of projects — from supporting established voices to cultivating fresh talent. Together, we’re building a dynamic environment where creators can take risks and bring ambitious ideas to life.”

The joint venture is designed to serve as a creative hub for developing long-term IP and scalable franchises. Emphasizing flexibility and multi-genre crossover, the initiative aims to foster concepts that can live across multiple formats. Piller/Segan will expand its internal development capacity by bringing on an experienced executive to lead project sourcing under the new venture, working closely with the Blink49 team.

The partnership reflects a shared strategy to invest in bold storytelling and support creators at every stage, from early development to full-scale production. Both companies aim to build durable global IP and deliver content that meets the evolving demands of a competitive entertainment landscape.
