BLUE ANT AND ACQUIRES MORE THAN 30 HOURS OF CONTENT FROM ITN PRODUCTIONS

The distributor reserves exclusive global rights to the premiere factual entertainment, which include "The Royal Documentaries," commissioned for Channel 5, and ITN’s British biographies. The agreement was brokered by Blue Ant's Sales manager, Fleur Wheatley.

Blue Ant International announced its plans to distribute more than 30 hours of factual entertainment series and documentaries from London, UK-based ITN Productions, the creative production arm of news and multimedia content company, ITN. “ITN Productions has created a rich slate of series and documentaries that give a fresh and contemporary look on fascinating historical figures and intriguing facets of the Royal Family,” Ludo Dufour, SVP, International Co-Productions and Sales, Blue Ant International, said.

The distributor reserves exclusive global rights to documentaries and series, which include "The Royal Documentaries," a package of 20 one-off documentaries related to memories of Diana and Queen Elizabeth II. It also acquired rights to the ITN’s Iconic British Biographies, including the 6 60-minute episodes of "Winston Churchill," "Admiral Nelson," "Isambard Kingdom-Brunel" and "The Real Lawrence of Arabia." The agreement was brokered by Fleur Wheatley, Sales Manager, Blue Ant International. "Audiences all over the world will be captivated by the personal stories of these public figures, their beloved traditions, and their effect on culture and society both over time and in the present day,” Dufour said.

"The Royal Documentaries" was originally commissioned for Channel 5. Its episodes include "William and Kate: Too Good to be True?," Harry and Meghan: Two Troubled Years," "Diana: A Mother’s Love," "Diana’s Last Summer," and a dozen others.

Blue Ant currently holds production partners with sales operations in London, Toronto, and Los Angeles and a growing slate of over 3,500 hours of premium content, including distinctive series and formats in five key genres.
