Cineflix Rights has acquired exclusive worldwide distribution rights to “Manayek." The Kan 11 Network series serves as Cineflix Rights’ second Israeli drama following "Tehran," which became successful after partnering with Apple TV+. "It’s a great honor to join hands with Cineflix Rights for the distribution of Manayek,” “It’s been an amazing journey for us and for our partners at Kan 11 with this remarkable series and we are blessed with the huge success it already received in Israel,” Yoav Gross, CEO, Yoav Gross productions said. “We are sure that the international audience will find in the series all the elements that made it so successful already."

The police corruption drama was created and written by Roy Iddan and Lee Gilat and directed by Alon Zingman, starring Shalom Assayag as Izzy Bachar, Amoz Tamam as Barak Harel, and Liraz Chamani as Izzy’s police partner Tal Ben Harush. “‘Manayek’ is an intense crime thriller, packed with strong male and female characters and a deeply layered, hard-hitting plot delivering twists and turns with an authenticity that is rare in police dramas. Like Tehran, it has been a major hit in Israel, and we look forward to it having similar global appeal as we launch it to the international market this spring,”  James Durie, Head of Scripted, Cineflix Rights said.

One of Kan 11's highest-rated dramas, the show won various awards for Best Drama Series, Best Director in a Drama Series, Best Screenplay for a Drama Series, Leading Actor in a Drama Series, and Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series at this year’s Israeli Academy of Film and Television Awards. “We are delighted to be working again with Kan 11 and starting a new partnership with Yoav Gross Productions,” Durie said.

The 10 45-minute episodes of “Manayek” shows the story of a veteran Internal Affairs investigator, Izzy Bachar, who is on the brink of retirement when he’s sent to interview a young police officer turned hitman, who has just killed a key state witness in cold blood. He is shocked when the assassin offers information about a high-ranking police officer operating a vast criminal network within the force and points the finger at Barak Harel, a highly respected cop, and Izzy’s best friend and former partner. Izzy is incredulous. He then discovers Barak's double identity and works on uncovering his tracks.
