Cineflix Rights has announced multiple deals for international and English-language dramas from its growing scripted slate. “As we grow our scripted slate, these sales demonstrate the continuing success of our international and English-language dramas, providing new content and returning hits for global buyers across streamers and broadcasters,” said James Durie, Head of Scripted at Cineflix Rights.
MX Player (India) and Filmin (Spain) have acquired the multi-award-winning Israeli police corruption thriller “Manayek” (seasons 1 and 2). MX Player has also bought the supernatural cult sensation “Wynonna Earp” (seasons 1-4). Meanwhile, Hot (Israel) has bought darkly humorous crime caper “Happily Married” (seasons 1 and 2), which was a Berlinale Series 2020 Official Selection, and Icelandic political drama “The Minister” (8x60’).
Furthermore, Talpa Network (Netherlands), Sky Italia, and Rai (Italy) have acquired the latest season of the highly rated global hit "Coroner" (season 4). The series already airs in more than 150 territories on networks and platforms including The CW Network (United States), Sky Witness (UK), Globo (Brazil), and NBCUniversal International Networks.
Acorn TV (India), Sky Italia, and BritBox (Africa) have bought “Whitstable Pearl” (seasons 1 and 2), the cozy crime series set in the picturesque English seaside town. Lastly, TG4 (Ireland) has acquired gripping French crime drama “Rebecca” (8x60’), while STV (Scotland) has bought the UK and Eire rights to “Secrets and Lies” (6x60’), the taut psychological thriller set in suburban Australia.
