Banijay's sub-division company, Endemol Shine Germany has taken on the task to produce the local adaptation of "Love IRL" for VOX.  “This format provides an in-depth examination of virtual dating. Meeting online may be becoming the norm, but can you really connect with someone if you never meet? Each couple has their own story and reasoning for only interacting online so bringing them together creates beautiful, moving and heart-warming, once-in-a-lifetime introductions," Fabian Tobias, Managing Director of Endemol Shine Germany said.

Originally created by Studio 89 Productions, and distributed by M6 Formats, "Love IRL, which is translated into "Et si on se rencontrait?" has been confirmed for a second run in France.

The company has secured the format rights for the show in a number of markets includingthe UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland and Flanders in Belgium. After reporting significant success through multiple titles and genres, such as the hit reality shows "Celebrity Big Brother," and "Celebrity Hunted," itcontinues to distribute popular titles worldwide.

The reality-based documentary will bring together couples who have met online, but for whatever reason, not in person. Love IRL helps kickstart unique love stories. Following people who are emotionally invested with someone they have only ever met virtually, whether via social media, a chat room or online dating site, Love IRL will see them finally meet face-to-face in an extraordinary location. Once together these soulmate seekers must decide if there is a romantic spark, and most crucially, if they would like to spend more time together.
