It has been a successful fall season for Viaplay, whose series have broken one audience record after another. More recently, its original production "Face to Face", by Freemantle, has impressed fans and critics alike and remains with the highest audience points in the Nordic territory. For this reason, Viaplay and Miso Film are already preparing the second installment of Christoffer Boe’ story, but now with Trine Dyrholm as the main character.

The series, starring Ulrich Thomsen, Lars Mikkelsen, Trine Dyrholm, Nikolaj Lie Kaas, Søren Malling, Lars Ranthe and David Dencik, will return in a second installment full of darkness and adrenaline. “With 'Face to Face' we have exceeded ourselves by presenting the audience with a truly unique experience, not only by having a first-rate cast, but also a story that dares to go to new directions and challenges. We are very happy with the reception we’ve had and cannot wait to continue adding original content to the Viaplay catalog, " said Nanna Mailand, Senior Executive Producer at Nordic Entertainment Group.

In the next season of "Face to Face", it will be Trine Dyrholm who takes control, and just as in the first season the plot will gradually reveal itself in a series of intense and crucial moments that will depict the story’s direction. The action will take on a new meaning when Susanne (Dyrholm) begins to try to overcome her daughter's loss by returning to her job as a psychologist. Through a hypnosis session to a client, in order to stop his smoking habit, she opens a door to his dark subconscious, where he reveals a series of murders to young women, and another that is yet to come. This causes Susanne to embark on a lethal adventure to prevent another innocent victim. But the reality is that nobody is innocent, not even Susanne.

About this Christoffer Boe said: “'Face to Face' is a fantastic opportunity to combine the study of personalities with the crime genre. That is why I cannot wait to develop Susanne in this dark and extreme world, in which on her way to do the right thing she will meet the wildest characters". The show is written and directed by Christoffer Boe, produced by Miso Film and distributed by Freemantle internationally. Its production will begin in the spring of 2020.
