Mediahub has begun filming the Turkish drama series, ‘’Alaca." The company will present the series during Mipcom this October. "As filming continues, the cast and crew of "Alaca" are excitedly embracing the challenges and complexities of their respective roles," the company states. "The chemistry among the actors is already palpable, enhancing the authenticity and intensity of each scene."
The first phase of filming has been completed in the location of Dalyan, and the shooting has moved to Istanbul, where the rest of the story is set to take place. The male lead of "Alaca" will be Melih Özkaya, who gained recognition for his role as Officer Ali in the popular drama series "Legacy (Emanet).
The titular character Alaca will be portrayed by young actress Ceyda Ceren Edis marking her debut in Turkish drama. Other members forming part of the cast include Burcu Alameman from "Orphan Flowers," who takes on a sophisticated role, and Mine Çayıroğlu as Alaca’s mother, Emel. Ufuk Kaplan is set to play Saniye, Emel’s keeper of secrets and old friend. The title tells the story of two star-crossed lovers who, years later, find themselves on different sides of the same story of revenge and betrayal.
