Turkish drama “Resurrection Ertugrul,” produced for TRT and globally distributed by Mistco, is set to be launched in Malaysia, Colombia, Fiji Islands, and Latin America through an OTT platform that the company has not yet announced. Furthermore, another historical title, “Filinta,” is going to debut on Starzplay in the MENA region.

Produced by Tekden Film, “Resurrection Ertugrul” tells a great story from the 13th century, in which the hero, Ertugrul, who is the father of the Ottoman Empire's founder Osman, is struggling to find a home for his tribe and the woman he is in love with. It conveys the land struggle with the Kayı tribes and Mongols and the struggle of the establishment of a state to the audience accompanied by a historical feast. The series is available in 190 countries in different languages via Netflix.

“‘Ertugrul’ is a good example that TRT produces timeless content, and for both library and current titles, we have interest from all around the world, and expanding in different territories,”  assured Aysegul Tuzun, Managing Director of Mistco.
