ORF-Enterprise is back to Mipcom with new seasons of its most highlight series and a fresh lineup the new programs. The distribution company of the Austrian Public Broadcaster will present the new season of "Suburbia – Women on the Edge", with 10 new episodes. The plot continues one year after the thrilling finale of season 3 and again the housewives are coping with the crumbling facade of their upper-scale suburban lives, while ORF’s comedy series "Walking on Sunshine" continues with a second season and presents the sunny and dark sides of the life of the employees in the weather department of a TV-station.
“Timber!” and “Workout” are the latest addition to the successful TATORT crime-movie line-up, consisting of 24 thrilling movies and again the detectives Eisner and Fellner are looking for clues in criminal cases.
ORF Universum kicks of the market with the two program highlights "Corsica – Mountains in the Sea" and "Empire of the Vineyard". The firts title presents the species-rich nature of the Mediterranean island with visually stunning Ultra HD 4K pictures while the European co-production “Empire of the Vineyard” showcases the animal kingdom in Europe’s vineyards.
"Richard the Lionheart", the newest addition to the ORF Universum History slot, portrays the King of England as a warrior, ruler and violent killer and explores the questions and mysteries that surround Richard I, with high-quality re-enactments at crucial moments of his reign and featuring interviews with leading historians.
"The Magic Flute" offers colorful musical with a new staging of W. A. Mozart’s masterpiece from the spectacular open-air stage in the St. Margarethen Quarry while "The Tales of Hoffmann - Oper Klosterneuburg" shows the life of the poet Hoffmann in 5 acts. The annual concert "Christmas in Vienna" marks the musical finale of 2019.
