"Wild Cuba: A Caribbean Journey", co-produced by ORF Universum Nature and ORF-Enterprise, wins Gold at the 2020 Jackson Wild Media Awards while "Feathered Friends - The Secret Life Of Garden Birds" and "Wild Innsbruck" are finalists.

John Murray’s "Wild Cuba: A Caribbean Journey" wins the Gold Award in the category Best Presenter-led Film. The documentary, presented by Colin Stafford-Johnson, explores corners of Cuba that few outsiders have seen. The documentary is also a finalist in the category Best Writing.  The award-winning documentary is produced by CTL Films for ORF, PBS, BBC, France 5, SVT, DR, YLE, and RTE in association with ORF-Enterprise.

 In the category, Best Engaging Youth & Family Film "Feathered Friends - The Secret Life Of Garden Birds" by Leander Khil and Mario Kreuzer, a co-production by ORF Universum Nature and PKM Film in association with ORF-Enterprise, funded by Carinthia Film Commission, enters the final round. The documentary shows secret dramas and survival strategies as well as strong personalities among the birds in the idyllic setting of a European garden.

Patrick Centurioni’s "Wild Innsbruck", produced by Centurioni Images, has been presented as a finalist in the category Best Emerging Filmmaker.

Nature film’s equivalent to the Oscars®, the Jackson Wild Media Awards celebrate excellence and innovation in nature, science, and conservation storytelling.
