"PORTUGAL – WILD LAND ON THE EDGE" DOCUMENTARY AWARDED AT MOUNTAINFILM GRAZ

The documentary by acclaimed wildlife filmmaker and head of ORF Universum Gernot Lercher "Portugal – Wild Land On The Edge" was awarded an Honorable Mention in the category "Nature and Environment" at the Mountainfilm International Film Festival Graz, which took place from June 9 - 12, 2021.

The 4K production is a breathtaking documentary about a country at the very edge of Europe - where the beginning and end meet. Portugal's natural and animal world tries to live and survive in the constant competition of the ancient four elements of Air, Earth, Fire and Water.

The cinematic journey leads through mainland, sea and islands, and shows the audience fantastic and exciting images of a wildlife of infinite diversity.

The documentary is a co-production by ORF, ARTE, BR, Skyland Productions and Proell Film in association with ORF-Enterprise and distributed worldwide by ORF-Enterprise.
