Sky unveils seven new factual channel brands

Sky recently revealed four new titles made for Sky Documentaries and a series each for Sky Crime, Sky Nature and Sky HISTORY. “From profiling famous and infamous characters, to unravelling little known historical events and using innovative technology to explore the natural world, we are proud to bring viewers a diverse range of true stories that will inspire, inform and entertain," Sky’s Director of Documentaries and Factual, Poppy Dixon, said. "We hope to continue our record-breaking year with these new additions to the slate."

The status of the new titles range from production and post-production, and are all scheduled to air later this year or in 2022 on Sky and NOW. The seven new commissions, also set to debut on NOW, have put together a catalog to showcase Sky’s commitment to provide release factual content.

The newly commissioned titles for Sky Documentaries include stranger-than-fiction Giovanni di Stefano's tale "The Devil’s Advocate,"  "The Billion Dollar Scoundrel," showign the story of Allen Stanford, and "Hijacked: Flight 73" detailing the occurances of Pan Am Flight 73. 

Crime-related titles such as the working title, "The Angel of Vengeance" will also be offered. The British-based series is set to air on Sky Crime in October. On Sky History, "The Royal Bastards: The Rise of The Tudors" starring Sheila Atim as Queen Margaret of Anjou and Philip Glenister for the House of York, will soon debut, while the landmark natural history series, "Chasing the Rains," shot in 4K UHD, is also scheduled for debut.
