Latin American sales company Spiral International has secured a pan-regional deal with Disney Channel Latin America for the live action series “Holly Hobbie”. This new music-driven series, which became available on October 30, is produced by Aircraft Pictures and Holly Hobbie brand owner Cloudco Entertainment in association with Wexworks Media, and includes two season of 10 episodes each.

“Holly Hobbie” is a modern-day revival of the classic girl’s character brand introduced over fifty years ago in 1967 by the greeting card company American Greetings. Since then, the Holly Hobbie brand has grown into books, crafts and toy lines, and now, into a live-action series. The show follows Holly, a 13-year-old aspiring singer/songwriter from a small town who dreams about saving the world someday.

“It is an absolute pleasure to be working with the team of Disney Latin America on ‘Holly Hobbie’. After its release on Hulu in the United States, this compelling tween show finds its home on another Disney platform, this time speaking in both Spanish and Portuguese. We look forward to seeing the series build a fanbase across the region,”  stated Zasha Robles, Managing Director at Spiral International.

Ian Lambur, EVP of Content Strategy & Co-Productions at Cloudco Entertainment, added: “‘Holly Hobbie’ is a top-tier music-driven series that not surprisingly has attracted huge kid, tween and family viewership around the globe. We are delighted to share our inspiring series with a new audience in Latin America via this partnership with Disney Channel and Disney+”.
