Studiocanal has confirmed the third series of "The Adventures Of Paddington" has been nominated for three awards at the 2nd Children’s and Family Emmy® Awards in the categories of Preschool Animated Series, and Writing for a Preschool Animated Program and Directing for a Preschool Animated Program. The winners will be announced in December in Los Angeles.
"The Adventures Of Paddington" is a Heyday Films and Studiocanal production in association with Copyrights, produced by Karen Davidsen and Simon Quinn. The third series is once again brought to life by Blue Zoo Animation Studio (Big Tree City, The Smeds and the Smoos, It’s Pony) and directed by Chris Drew (Digby Dragon, Miffy's Adventures Big and Small). The series is developed for television and written by Jon Foster and James Lamont (The Amazing World of Gumball, Cuckoo, Paddington 1, 2 & 3), who also serve as executive producers.
A third feature film, "Paddington in Peru," is currently in post-production with a UK release date scheduled for 8 November 2024. The third series is executive produced by multi-award-winning David Heyman, Rosie Alison and Rob Silva. The series is a Marmalade Films and Mascaret Films co-production with the participation of Nickelodeon, M6 and PIWI+.
Nickelodeon broadcasts the two-time Daytime Emmy Award-winning animated series in the US and internationally. Studiocanal is the worldwide rights holder for the global sales phenomenon which now totals 152 x 11 minute episodes, plus 2 x 22 minute specials across three series. “We are so delighted that Paddington has once again been nominated for the prestigious Emmys," Studiocanal CEO, Anna Marsh said.
