Tubi has entered an exclusive content deal with next-generation film studio STXfilms. “Home to critically acclaimed films and audience favorites, STXfilms is a perfect partner to help us bring this multifaceted slate to our viewers,” said Adam Lewinson, Chief Content Officer, Tubi. “Viewers will soon enjoy a strong lineup of talent-driven cinematic storytelling, with many titles exclusively free on Tubi.”

Under the deal, the streamer will have an exclusive free streaming window rights to popular titles such as “I Feel Pretty” starring Amy Schumer, the critically acclaimed coming-of-age film “The Edge of Seventeen,” starring Hailee Steinfeld and Woody Harrelson, kids and family movie “UglyDolls,” “Peppermint,” starring Jennifer Garner, and the action heist thriller “Den of Thieves,” featuring Gerard Butler and 50 Cent, among many other new titles coming to the platform. “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Tubi to bring our movies to their growing audience,” said David Spiegelman, President of Domestic TV, Digital Distribution & Home Entertainment Sales, STX Entertainment. “Bringing these films to Tubi audiences is an important addition to our release strategy and we are elated to have the opportunity to expand and enhance the ancillary lives of these crowd-pleasing films.”

In addition to STXfilm's content, Tubi has become the exclusive AVOD home to the adventure documentary “Into the Lost Desert" this month, which follows extreme desert explorer Max Calderan as he crosses the Rub’ al Khali on foot. This Tubi World Premiere Exclusive from Empty Quarter Studios, executive producer Billy Sprague and director Christopher Cassel, will chronicle an expedition unlike any other, as Calderan braves extreme heat, shifting sand dunes towering up to 1000 feet, poisonous snakes, spiders, scorpions, and any number of life-threatening challenges.

Tubi’s deal with STXfilms brings several additional titles to FOX Entertainment’s free streaming service, including “Desierto,” starring Gael Garcia Bernal; “Free State of Jones,” starring Matthew McConaughey, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Mahershala Ali; “Songbird,” produced by Michael Bay; “Hardcore Henry”; “Me You Madness”; “Mile 22,” starring Mark Wahlberg; “Secret in Their Eyes,” starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Nicole Kidman, and Julia Roberts; “The Boy”; “The Bye Bye Man”; “The Gift”; and “The Happytime Murders,” starring Melissa McCarthy.
