ZAG AND ON KIDS AND FAMILY’S “MIRACULOUS” MOVIES TO AIR WORLDWIDE

Animation companies, ZAG and ON kids & family (Mediawan Group) are currently holding conversations about action-comedy series, “­­­Miraculous - Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir” to New York City and Shanghai. Both movies are scheduled for fall 2020 and spring 2021. “We thank all of our fans for their continued love for Ladybug and Cat Noir, and our tremendous partners, and we can’t wait to share this whole world of new amazing hero characters with everyone,” Jeremy Zag, Founder and CEO of ZAG said.

The two companies are also currently undergoing production on a US$60M budget animated “Miraculous” feature, to be released globally, and scheduled to premiere in fall 2021 or early 2022. The two animated TV movies, “Miraculous World” - New York - “United HeroeZ” and “Miraculous World” Shanghai - “Lady Dragon,” will be available on Disney Channel and Disney+. Both, the service and network purchased global rights for the content, except for Brazil and China. France’s TF1, Brazil’s Gloob (Grupo Globo), Canada’s Family Channel & Télé-Québec, and UK’s POP, also acquired territory rights.  

The “Miraculous," movies, targeted mostly at a family audience, air in over 120 countries worldwide, have generated over 16 billion views on YouTube and have sold over 150M products over the past three years. The films have won numerous awards, including the 2018 Teen Choice Award for Choice Animated Series. The 3D-CGI-animated TV movies were created by ZAG, produced by ZAG and ON kids & family (Mediawan Group), and directed by Thomas Astruc. “It is now time to extend “The Miraculous World” and today we are taking our universe to a decisive stage in its evolution. The legend will now expand all over the world,” Aton Soumache, President and co-Founder of On kids & Family said.

“Miraculous”  follows the adventures of Marinette and Adrien, who live their normal life in human form, but magically transform into superheroes, Ladybug and Cat Noir. Cat Noir will do anything to support and impress Ladybug but doesn't know she is Marinette from his class. Marinette dreams of Adrien but gets little response. "We are fortunate to be the producers of an extraordinary franchise, that has grown forcefully over time, with phenomenal success and which crosses frontiers," Soamage said.
