ViX was recognized by Apple TV as the "App of The Year 2022"

The new platform offers an unprecedented 50,000 hours of free and paid premium content across genres.

 ViX was recently named Apple TV App of The Year as part of Apple’s 2022 App Store Awards.“We are so excited about this recognition and, at the same time, so happy to be able to deliver a seamless viewing experience to our users and subscribers, through an application that our streaming teams at TelevisaUnivision built from scratch, with the support of amazing business partners," said Pierluigi Gazzolo, President and Chief Transformation Officer at TelevisaUnivision. “Through ViX, our goal is to create and distribute the best content, in-language and in-culture, made by Hispanics for Hispanics, and this award affirms our success in being the largest and best digital offering for Spanish speaking audiences.”

Apple has ranked the best apps and games for users across Apple devices for a decade. “ViX’s recognition as an App Store Award winner for Apple TV App of The Year is a testament to the power of uniting Hispanic audiences and businesses to shift global, cultural conversation,” stated Argam DeHartunian, Senior Vice President of Product Development at ViX. “In less than one year since our launch, we’ve successfully created something unlike any other in the market and look forward to expanding our offering and impact in 2023.”

Launched this summer, and exclusively serving Spanish speaking communities, the platform offers an unprecedented 50,000 hours of free and paid premium content across genres including movies, comedy series, novelas, drama series, children’s content, and sports programming. This year, ViX secured exclusive rights to stream the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ to their Mexico based audiences, in addition to offering of 6,000 hours of live soccer in the U.S including every match from UEFA Champions League and exclusively selected Liga MX games. The app is available in the U.S., Mexico, and most of Spanish-speaking Latin America, across all major mobile platforms, connected TV devices and via web on vix.com.
