"Berlin 1945"
Autentic Distribution, the sales division of the factual label Autentic, will showcase the critically acclaimed high-end factual series "Berlin 1945" at the 2020 connected edition of Sunny Side of the Doc, which will shed light on the most pressing issues in the History genre.
As a case study, the archival series "Berlin 1945" marks the opening of the first of four 30-minute workshops, which focuses on the sourcing of archival material. Led by Canadian producer and visual researcher Elizabeth Klinck, Patrick Hörl (Managing Director at Autentic GmbH), Mirjam Strasser (Head of Sales & Acquisitions at Autentic GmbH, division Autentic Distribution), and Andrew Bird (editor at Zero One Film) will revisit the importance of archival research. They will share their experience and expertise on how to source the best archival footage next Monday, 22 June at 3:00 pm.
"Berlin 1945" reconstructs with stunning, never-before-seen archival footage the most fateful year of the metropolis through the eyes of those who lived through it: the German population and the Allied soldiers.
The factual series is produced by zero one film in co-production with bauderfilm, Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (rbb), in cooperation with Arte, funded by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg. Autentic Distribution is in charge of the worldwide distribution of the docuseries, which comes as a 3×50’ series, a 2×90’ series, and a 1×180’ special.
