Cineflix Rights has closed a series of international deals at MIPCOM, highlighting its diverse slate of factual and scripted programming. The company continues to demonstrate its expertise in distributing content that appeals to audiences across multiple territories.
The historical documentary lineup includes “Alexander the Great: Legendary Conqueror” (3x60’, Pernel Media for Canal+ Group, France, and TV5 Quebec, Canada), which chronicles the exploits of one of history’s most celebrated military leaders. The series has been acquired by Viasat World for Viasat History across CEE and Scandinavia, RTL and ZDF in Germany, SBS in Australia, and Hearst Networks in Turkey and the Middle East.
“Vikings: The Empire of the North Sea” (6x60’, Pernel Media) has also secured international distribution, including Viasat History, ZDF, Disney Benelux, YLE in Finland, and SBS Australia, with previous sales to Movistar in Spain. The series explores the rise and fall of history’s first Viking empire, blending immersive storytelling with historical accuracy.
Ramses The Great: King of Ancient Egypt (6x60’, Pernel Media) combines cutting-edge science with the latest archaeological discoveries to illuminate the life of the iconic pharaoh. The series has been acquired by ZDF, DRTV, and Discovery Iberia, alongside prior sales to AMC History, CBC, and Viasat World, among others.

In the realm of factual adventure, “Vanished History” (10x60’, Shark Teeth Films for Bell Media, Canada) has been acquired by Foxtel, RTL, Mediaset, Discovery Iberia, and Hearst Networks, uncovering some of history’s most enigmatic mysteries. “Commando Missions” (4x60’, Galaxie Presse) recounts daring World War II operations and has been sold to SBS, SRC, Foxtel, and Creo South Korea.
Cineflix Rights has also advanced its scripted drama portfolio with BBC1’s crime thriller “Virdee” (6x60’, Magical Society for BBC One/BBC iPlayer), which follows Bradford cop Harry Virdee navigating a high-stakes serial killer investigation. The series has been acquired by Canal+ Netherlands, SVT Sweden, Filmin Spain, Britbox in Scandinavia, and BBC Studios across Asia.
The company’s international reach extends to darkly comedic crime drama “Sunny Nights” (8x60’, Stan Original, Jungle Entertainment/Echo Lake Entertainment), starring Will Forte and D’Arcy Carden. The series has been sold to Bell Media Canada, Pro-Sieben Germany, Canal+ Netherlands, TVNZ New Zealand, TG4 Ireland, and Yes Israel.
“Sunny Nights” combines sharp humor with suspenseful storytelling, following the misadventures of American siblings Martin and Vicki Marvin as they navigate Sydney’s criminal underworld while building a spray tan business. The series brings together a strong ensemble cast and acclaimed creative talent, including director Trent O’Donnell.
