Cineflix Rights has unveiled its London TV Screenings slate of new dramas and factual content, ahead of its buyers’ screening event on 25th February. Next, let's briefly review the lineup.

Leading the scripted slate is "Sunny Nights" (8x60’, Jungle Entertainment and Echo Lake Entertainment in association with Cineflix Rights for Stan, Australia), a darkly comedic crime drama directed by Trent O’Donnell ("Population 11", "Colin from Accounts", "No Activity", "Hacks") and starring Will Forte ("The Last Man on Earth", "Bodkin", "Saturday Night Live") as a strait-laced American who teams up with his loose-cannon sister played by D’Arcy Carden ("Nobody Wants This", "The Good Place", "Barry"), to set up a spray tan business in Sydney. The siblings become tangled up in the city’s criminal underworld, and when a ruthless gangster begins to catch up with them, the two must figure out how to stay alive, out of prison, and in the black.

Based on A.A. Dhand’s best-selling novels, "Virdee" (6x60’, Magical Society for BBC One/BBC iPlayer) is a crime thriller following Harry Virdee (Staz Nair, "Rebel Moon"), a Bradford cop hunting down a serial killer. The series launched earlier this month on BBC1 with critics praising it as: ‘tremendous, tantalising, action-packed fun’, ‘thrilling, intriguing, and more importantly, incredibly heartwarming’, and ‘timely and essential … perfectly judged. "Virdee"’s a hit not to miss.’

"Heart Attack" (8x45’, Skybound and ROBOT for Fuji TV, Japan) is a dystopian sci-fi drama “live-action anime” from producers of "The Walking Dead". Based on the hit graphic novel created by Mortal Kombat 2’s Shawn Kittelsen and Eric Zawadzki, it stars Kanichiro ("Kubi", "Last Ninja – Blue Shadow"), Toko Miura ("Drive My Car", "Weathering with You") and Goro Kishtani ("Returner", "Graveyard of Honor").

New factual titles for 2025 offer a variety of captivating stories. "Cape Carnage: Killer Catch" (10x60’, McAvoy Media for Seven Network Australia, UKTV, TVNZ) follows Captain Bruce and the Davey family as they engage in one of the most dangerous and remote professions on Earth: hand-line fishing in the treacherous waters of northern Australia. This high-risk occupation reveals the harsh realities of life on the edge of nature.

On the other hand, "Help! We Bought A Village" (Seasons 1-3, 80x60’, True North for Channel 4, UK) showcases couples and families as they embark on the challenging journey of restoring abandoned villages across Europe. Despite seemingly impossible tasks, they work with local communities to transform ruins into beautiful homes and thriving businesses through extensive renovation projects.

In "Vanished History" (10x60’, Shark Teeth Films for Bell Media, Canada), the series explores some of the world’s most mysterious and elusive enigmas. From Cleopatra's secret crypt to Genghis Khan’s lost tomb, the show dives deep into ghost ships, abandoned cities, and missing treasures to unravel their secrets.

Additionally, "Commando Missions" (4x60’, Galaxie Presse for Canal+, France) tells the thrilling stories of top-secret operations behind enemy lines, detailing the Allies’ bold strategies to infiltrate and attack Hitler’s Reich from within during World War II.

For true-crime fans, "Crime Scene Investigators" (13x60’, Cineflix Productions for Discovery, UK and Bell Media, Canada) brings a fresh perspective to forensic investigation. The series follows a homicide team as they piece together clues, from blood spatter to digital fingerprints, to reveal the killer behind each case.

Also, "Vikings: The Empire of the North Sea" (6x60’, Pernel Media for Planète+ & C8, France, and TV5 Quebec, Canada) takes viewers on an immersive journey a thousand years into the past, chronicling the rise and fall of history's only Viking empire. This epic tale brings the legendary Norse civilization to life.

Finally, "Alexander the Great" (3x60’, Pernel Media for Planète+ & C8, France, and TV5 Quebec, Canada) explores the life and monumental achievements of one of history's greatest military leaders. The series retraces his colossal journey through the eyes of his closest confidant and lifelong friend, revealing the depths of his ambition and destiny. These new titles join returning seasons of hit Channel 4 brands including format "Tempting Fortune" (Voltage TV and Group M Motion), "A New Life in the Sun" (True North), and "Château DIY" (Spark Media Partners).
