Mipcom 2022: Welt factual catalog to lead Quintus Studios slate

Distributor and channel owner unveils line-up of 50+ hours of premium factual content from Welt, German broadcaster, US and European indies.

Quintus Studios reveals a new line up of factual content available for international acquisition at this year’s MIPCOM. The company’s slate includes a wide ranging premium factual catalogue of documentary films and series produced by German broadcaster Welt as well as programming from US, UK, German and Irish indie producers Cry Havoc Productions, Maximus Film, MiddleChild Productions and Peninsula Television.

The titles span multiple genres including automotive, crime, engineering, science and technology. One of them is "History of the German Armed Forces" (7x60’) that presents the history of the German Air Force, Navy and Army and features naval exercises on the Baltic Sea and goes inside the Warnemünde naval base in Rostock.

"Germany’s Military Machines" (3x60’) goes behind the scenes with the German Armed Forces while "Giant Logistics" (5x60’) explores the massive logistic operations that keep people moving in Germany’s mega structures including the Port of Bremen, Leipzig Airport.

"Classic Cars Makeover" (3x60’) features the ultimate makeover of the Ford Mustang, the Porsche 911 and an absolute classic; the Pagode and "Exceptional Engineering - series 3’ (7x60’) focuses on the latest innovations including the world’s most sustainable tractor, the world's biggest crane, and a remarkable self driving mega transporter equipped with 20 axes.

On the other hand, "Spacetime" - series 5 (6x60’) focuses on asteroids, comets and meteoroids and the mysteries of Neptune and beyond whereas "Prison Island Italy" (1x60’) reveals the experiences of the 100 inmates captive on Gorgona which has a long waiting list of prisoners wanting to be transferred here island due to its freedom of movement for farm working inmates and "Earthrise; Mission Climate" (1x120’) is a race against time as climate change is already changing human life on earth.

Other titles Quintus Studios is showcasing at MIPCOM include "Facing Forces of Nature" (5x60’) and "Crisis in Cocaine Valley" (1x 60’) from Maximus Film, "Supercar Tech" (6x60’) from Cry Havoc Productions, "World’s Most Dangerous Rescues" (5x60’) and "Prison Stories" (5x60’) from MiddleChild Productions and "Beyond Borders" from Peninsular Television.
