MIPCOM ONLINE+: THE POWER OF CHINA, KOREA, TURKEY AND RUSSIA

The best Chinese, Korean, Turkish, and Russian content was shown during the second day of the international market, alongside the analysis of the current situation that the world is living in.

At the beginning of the second MIPCOM Online+ day, China deployed its content potential presenting new documentaries that include many aspects, like industry and information technology, food culture, international entrepreneurship, fighting against Cov-19. Some of them are: "Lifes Matters"; "The Journey of the Chinese Plants" and "The Survive Guide on Mars".

Content China also introduced hit dramas newly produced, phenomenal and impressive Chinese TV series with high recommendation & positive comments, which contains kinds of different fascinating stories, including family, romance, crime, myth, ancient, etc. Some of them are: "Glory and Dream"; "Nothing but Thirty"; "Go Ahead"; "Love in Shanghai" and "To dear Myself".

Finally, Content China showed original Chinese formats that serving as a bridge between the Asia giant and the rest of the world. Companies such as Dragon TV, Mango TV, and Tencent Video presented China’s latest top original variety shows. Some new Chinese formats are: "Sisters Who Brave Winds and Waves"; "Singing With Legends"; and "Action".

In another session, the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce showed the new and fresh content from Turkey. The company Blue Media launched "Stories from Hidden Worlds"; "Abandoned Places"; "Path of Bravery" and "Operation Turkey", among others. Grafi presented "King Shakir" meanwhile Ezel International showed "The Wonder of Nature"; "The Seller Master of Soap"; etc.

Moreover, KOCCA (Korea Creative Content Agency) exposed all the new animation titles from the country, as well, the latest scripted and unscripted contents. Among the new animation, launches are "Zombiedum"; "Innap" and "Time Traveler Luke"; "Yoohoo to The Rescue", among others.

Regarding the big five scripted Korean formats, KOCCA introduced "Lie After Lie" (Channel A); "Flower of Evil" (CJ ENM); "Kairos" (MBC); "Dr. John" (SBS), and "Zombie Detective" (KBS Media). Also, the big five unscripted Korean formats are "Cash Back (CJ ENM) "The Giving Quiz, Deliver Today!" (SBS); "Oh My Partner" (MBC); "Star's Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant" (KBS Media) and "Heart Signal"(Channel A).

Likewise, Made in Russia displayed the fresh Russian content from key players such as All Media, Art Pictures Distribution, Mirsand Ltd, Odin Media, Revoluzzia Film, Sputnik Vostok Production, Yellow, Black and White (YBW). Some of the new Russian titles are "10-Title documentary Cycle"; "Chicks"; "Blue Whales" and "Kiselyov's List Never Again".

URGENT TIMES

In line with the times we are living in, on the second day of MIPCOM Online +, “Nations United” told the story of the world as it is, as it was, and as it could be.  The presentation took the audience on a dynamic exploration of the times we live in, the multiple tipping points our planet faces and the interventions that could transform our world over the next 10 years. It was made up of 4 chapters – covering Climate, Poverty and Inequality, Justice, and Gender. After that, Melissa Fleming, Under-Secretary-General For Global Communications expressed. 

At the end of the day, Jeremy Darroch,  Sky Group Chief Executive received his MIP SDG Award in recognition of Sky Group’s track record in setting the highest standards in sustainability and responsibility and taking action on environmental issues.
