MIPCOM announced that part of its scheduled lineup is a keynote speech delivered by UN’s Melissa Fleming, Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications at MIPCOM 2020. In the session, named “No Time To Waste: Communicating In A Climate Emergency” will discuss and challenge the form in which we address climate change and the necessary conversations that must take place for real change to occur. It will be streamed on MIPCOM Online+ on 13 October at 17:30 CEST.

Fleming will also introduce the MIP SDG Award for Climate Action and Protection of the Oceans to Sky Group Chief Executive Jeremy Darroch, which reflects Sky’s track record in taking high-standards change relating to sustainability and action on environmental issues. The discussion will occur on Tuesday 13 October at 18:00 CEST.

Fleming’s keynote and the MIP SDG Award form part of MIPCOM's Change for Good program, created for the purpose of holding conversations that will inspire positive social worldwide change, such as enforcing diversity, minimizing negative environmental impacts, and more.
