“Meet, Marry, Murder Hosted by Michelle Trachtenberg”
FilmRise and FirstLookTV announce “Meet, Marry, Murder Hosted by Michelle Trachtenberg”, a true-crime docu-series that explores dozens of tragic love stories that later led to murder. The series reveals what motivated the killers, and what investigators uncovered. The series will be hosted by actress/producer and writer Michelle Trachtenberg (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Gossip Girl”) who also serves as an executive producer on the series. The announcement was made today jointly by Danny Fisher, CEO of FilmRise and Will Hanrahan of FirstLookTV.
Max Einhorn, SVP Acquisitions and Co-Productions, FilmRise states: “'Meet, Marry, Murder' is our second original true-crime series production. We are confident that this new program will quickly become a fan favorite and a great addition to the growing FilmRise library much like our recent production, 'Bloodline Detectives Hosted by Nancy Grace'.”
Trachtenberg comments, “I am a big fan of the true-crime documentary genre and have been looking for the right project to align with. Working with FilmRise and FirstLookTV on 'Meet, Marry, Murder' allows me to share this guilty pleasure with others.”
“Meet, Marry, Murder Hosted by Michelle Trachtenberg” is co-produced by FilmRise and FirstLookTV and distributed outside of North America by Abacus Media Rights. FilmRise will distribute the series on TV, SVOD and AVOD exclusively in North America.
