For the fifth consecutive year, Konbini, a committed cultural media outlet since 2008 and an official partner of Canneseries, has recognized outstanding talent for the artistic quality and societal, innovative, and revolutionary impact of their work. This year, the Konbini Commitment Award will be presented to Nicola Coughlan, best known for her role as Penelope Bridgerton/Lady Whistledown in Netflix’s record-breaking series Bridgerton.

Nicola was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Female Actor in a Drama Series for her performance, while Bridgerton received a nomination for Ensemble in a Drama Series. The award will be presented by Konbini on Monday, April 28, on the stage of the Lumière Theater at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès. Nicola is also widely recognized for portraying Clare Devlin in the acclaimed comedy Derry Girls, set in 1990s Northern Ireland during the final years of The Troubles.

More recently, she played Diplomat Barbie in Greta Gerwig’s blockbuster hit "Barbie". Last year, she starred in "Big Mood" alongside Lydia West, which has just been renewed for a highly anticipated second season. She was also featured in the "Doctor Who Christmas special" and will soon appear as Silky the woodland fairy in the upcoming adaptation of "The Magic Faraway Tree", alongside Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy.
