Towards solving the current distribution and monetization challenges in Africa, NIFS in collaboration with the MIPCOM Cannes organizers, RX France, will be launching the CREATIVE Africa Content Pavilion (CAPCOP) at this year’s edition of MIPCOM Cannes. The CREATIVE Africa Content Pavilion take center stage as the destination for authentic and original African stories for international B2B co-productions, content distribution, licensing deals and business meeting with over 13,000 participants, including over 4,500 buyers from around 100 countries in attendance in Cannes market.

MIPCOM Cannes provides very rare business & networking opportunities for international b2b co-productions, acquisitions, and sales of audiovisual content while also offering very high-level conferences, keynotes, screenings, and content showcases for African companies and delegates to maximize their presence at the market.

According to Vanessa van Santen-Smith, Regional Director - MIP Markets at RX France, ensuring a major African presence at MIPCOM Cannes through this collaboration with NIFS will ensure that African companies have a strong and visible representation at the mother of all content markets and further demonstrates RX France commitment towards inclusion and positioning of MIPCOM as indeed a global market for representation of the under-represented at the market.

NIFS Founder, Ijeoma Onah in her remarks noted that “Africa’s current distribution challenges require a highly pragmatic and intentional approach to tackle and NIFS has been at the forefront of building bridges and ensuring representation of African companies at major film and TV markets globally. The CREATIVE Africa Content Pavilion is a step forward for the African audio-visual industry to embrace and position for international business for the audio-visual sector in the continent. It is also a testament that NIFS remains an international African film and TV industry business enabling, networking and capacity building platform for the convergence and elevation of African film, audio-visual professionals and creative entrepreneurs."
