THE CW SIGNS DEAL TO AIR THRILLER SERIES, "DEVILS" THIS FALL

The network plans to air this fall, for its 2020-2021 season in hopes of restructuring its programming. NBCUniversal Global Distribution covered the international distribution of the series on behalf of Sky Studios.

US broadcast network, The CW has acquired thriller series, “Devils, scheduled to premier this fall for the 2020-21 season. The show is produced by Luca Bernabei and directed by Nick Hurran and Jan Maria Michelini.

The series, based on Guido Maria Brera’s novel I Diavoli, stars Patrick Dempsey and Alessandro Borghi. It’s produced by Sky Italia and Italian production company, Lux Vide in association with Sky Studios and France’s Orange Studio. “Devils” originally aired on Sky Atlantic in Italy and OCS in France.  

NBCUniversal Global Distribution is handling international distribution of the series on behalf of Sky Studios. The acquisition of Devils forms part of The CW’s plans to restructure its fall programming. The network has also acquired DC Universe series Swamp Thing and Canadian drama Coroner to bolster its fall season, with original productions on hold due to the coronavirus lockdown.

"Devils" will slot into Wednesdays at 20.00 followed by "Coroner." "Dead Pixels" will premier this summer with Two Sentence Horror Stories moving to Sundays and Masters of Illusion continuing its summer Friday primetime run into the autumn. World’s Funniest Animals moves to 21.00 on fall Fridays. “Devils” revolves around two financial traders who come across a worldwide financial conspiracy after one of them is named as a suspect in a murder investigation.
