The drama “A Miracle” is not only the highest-rated Turkish drama series in nearly a decade, but it has also become the fastest-selling series on the international market, with only a few territories remaining.

“A Miracle” is MF Yapim’s adaptation of the international hit franchise “The Good Doctor,” featuring Taner Ölmez in the title role of Ali, a surgical resident with autism and savant syndrome. The struggles of this awkward genius trying to fit in at a prestigious hospital captivated Turkish viewers, bringing Fox Turkey the highest ratings for any prime-time series in eight years.

The series has generated international buzz since it first hit the air in Turkey. Within one month, it doubled its reach to an incredible 43 share, and it has maintained this audience through an incredible 28 episodes. Many foreign reviewers cite it as the best Turkish drama in years, and it was the only Turkish drama featured on this year’s Wit Fresh List.

Since its September debut it has already been sold in Albania, Argentina, Bulgaria, Ecuador, El Salvador, Greece, Honduras, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Lithuania, Paraguay, Romania, Uruguay, and Uzbekistan, not to mention most of the western hemisphere thanks to an unprecedented pre-sale to pay TV platform Turner Latin America – being the first Turkish drama title to be acquired.

“‘A Miracle’ is the fastest-selling series we’ve ever seen. It’s a winning franchise with the Turkish touch, and that makes it accessible to audiences everywhere; all target groups and genders. We’re closing new deals every week,”  said Özlem Özsümbül, Head of Sales at Madd Entertainment, the series’ distributor.
