Be-Entertainment reality format "Destination X" continues its global adventure and has added a new territory, The Netherlands. RTL4 has commissioned the format for a local adaptation and is already the sixth territory for the show, following earlier announcements from the US (NBC), the UK (BBC), France (M6) and Germany (Prosieben).

The game-changing format sees 10 contestants embark on a journey on board the innovative black and blinded Destination X bus. It promises to be the ultimate road trip, except these folks have absolutely no idea of where they are. To find out, they play games with one clear aim: to win clues that will hopefully bring them closer to the right location.]

The adventure reality format, created and produced by Geronimo, was off to a flying start ever since it first launched on VTM in Belgium in February of this year. France was the first to join the adventure, and other territories soon followed. The first season in Belgium was a solid hit, reaching an average market share of 41.9% across the series in the key demo (18-44, Live +VOSDAL).

Says Be-Entertainment MD Gepke Nederlof: “The team from RTL in the Netherlands immediately saw the potential of the format and we’re very proud to finally announce that we will partner with them on such an adventurous journey and it’s extra special to see the ‘Destination X’ bus travel so close to our own home’’.
