"Pacifico"
Buenos Aires-based FilmSharks reveals first-look images of the creature design that start "Pacifico", its Sci-fi Spanish film directed by Gonzalo Gutiérrez ("Giants"). "Pacifico" is produced by Mauricio Brunetti ("Corazon de Leon") and Guido Rud ("Lobo Feroz"), and executive produced by Florencia Lemoine ("Giants"). It tells the story of a group of young travelers are stranded on an island in the Pacific where they struggle to escape an evil alien presence that has been hidden from mankind for centuries.
"What I love so much about science fiction when bundled with genre," says FilmSharks CEO/Founder Guido Rud, "when you can create a world that's never been seen before, and naturally mix in layers of totally refreshing elements. 'Pacifico' is about so much more than its monsters ... it's about how we understand that this is an old planet with so many hidden out this world stories. These are stories about humanism evolved."
The cast for Pacifico includes: Manolo Cardona ("Undertow"), Gabi de Faria ("Superman: Legacy"), Ricardo Abarca ("Que Culpa Tiene el Niño"), Christopher Von Uckermann ("Rebelde"), Claudio Cataño ("Cien años de soledad") and Maria Nela Sinisterra ("Corazon de Leon").
