Fox has announced the appointment of Prentiss Fraser, formerly with Fifth Season, as President of Fox Entertainment Global. Starting on March 31 and based in Los Angeles, Fraser will oversee worldwide distribution, format development, and off-platform sales for Fox network properties and Fox Entertainment Studios. Her portfolio will include scripted content, Fox Alternative Entertainment, animation studio Bento Box Entertainment, Gordon Ramsay’s Studio Ramsay Global, TMZ, and indie film label Tideline.
Fraser will join Fox from Fifth Season, previously known as Endeavor Content, where she served as President of Television Distribution. Since joining in 2019 as EVP of International TV Sales, Fraser played a key role in distributing acclaimed titles like "Killing Eve," "Tokyo Vice" (Max), "Severance" (Apple), and "Nine Perfect Strangers" (Hulu). She was promoted to President in 2022.
In light of Fraser's departure, Fifth Season has promoted Jennifer Ebell to lead its international TV sales. Currently EVP of EMEA Sales, Ebell will assume the role of EVP of Television Distribution on March 31. Reporting to co-CEOs Chris Rice and Graham Taylor, Ebell has been praised as “an insightful and strategic leader” and a “tastemaker with deep industry relationships.”
Fraser is no stranger to Fox, having previously served as EVP and Managing Director of Content Distribution at Fox Networks Group before its sale to Disney. Prior to her time at Fox, she spent 14 years at Entertainment One (eOne).
This appointment follows a strategic restructuring at Fox Entertainment under CEO Rob Wade last year. Fernando Szew, founder of MarVista Entertainment, now leads Fox Entertainment Studios, prompting Wade to seek a prominent international TV sales executive to helm Fox Entertainment Global. Fraser's extensive industry experience makes her a natural fit for the role.
“Prentiss’ world view, relationships and strategic mindset will be instrumental as we enter a new, prolific period of creativity, growth and expansion,” commented Wade. “Distribution is central to our studio and network content strategy, and her appointment rounds out our senior leadership team, adding a respected, results-driven heavy-hitter to helm global distribution at a pivotal time for Fox Entertainment.”
“To build a new legacy for an established Hollywood studio brand is a rare and incredibly exciting opportunity,” stated Fraser. “I look forward to joining Rob Wade and his fantastic team, as well as Fox’s talented creative partners and producers, in bringing the best in entertainment to platforms around the world.”
