Globo is reinforcing its international product catalog with yet another launch. During MIPCancun 2020, a virtual event that takes place from November 17th to 20th, the company will launch 'Forever Five', an original Globoplay series that stands out for its light, young, fun and tuned narrative with the themes of today's society more and more connected. The production is a spin off of the award-winning production ‘Young Hearts - Embrace Diversity’, winner of the Emmy Kids 2019, and its launch happens simultaneously to its debut in Brazil by Globoplay.

Written by Cao Hamburguer, the series brings together 5 friends from very different profiles who in the past shared experiences and conflicts of adolescence: Keyla (Gabriela Medvedovski), Ellen (Heslaine Vieira), Lica (Manoela Aliperti), Tina (Ana Hikari) and Benê (Daphe Bozaski). They meet after six years without seeing each other - but now, however, the challenges are more complicated. In their 25s, they are all dealing with loving, professional and personal conflicts of very different natures. The transition to adulthood happens amid many uncertainties and choices, and the reunion makes them feel stronger to face what lies ahead.

‘Forever Five’ has a narrative and aesthetics in tune with the digital universe, so familiar to the generation that was born connected. To bring this reality to the dialogues, the author Cao Hamburguer created a team composed of young collaborators. “It is an interesting generation, well informed, aware of the world's problems and in solidarity. These young people want to work with what they like to do and for the common good, but the economic and social crisis has come hard and many need to give it up. Today's young people also suffer from the dark side of social media, which creates anxiety and frustration. In the series, we will talk about this through the story of Tina, who is a digital influencer”, he points out.

'Forever Five' was created and written by Cao Hamburguer, with Vitor Brandt, Jasmim Tenucci, Luna Grimberg and Ludmila Naves. Artistic supervision is by Fabricio Mamberti, and directed by Rafael Miranda, Dainara Toffoli, Natália Warth and José Eduardo Belmonte.
