Despite the ongoing pandemic and an uncertain market landscape, Madd Entertainment remains strong, thanks in part to the wild success of “A Miracle”. In fact, the Turkey’s version of the international hit series “The Good Doctor” has racked up an amazing 66 territories. Recently, the show traveled to Spain, Uruguay, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Estonia, Pakistan, India, Israel, and South Africa.
Many foreign reviewers cite “A Miracle” as the best Turkish drama in years, and it was the only Turkish drama featured on this year’s Wit Fresh List. Lead actor Taner Ölmez is given much of the credit for setting the drama apart from the American and Korean versions. “‘A Miracle’ is our fastest-selling drama by far,” said Özlem Özsümbül, Head of Sales at Madd.
In the story, a distinguished surgical unit turns upside down when a strange new resident joins the team. Ali has savant syndrome, making it hard for him to communicate with other people, even though he is a phenomenal doctor. The other doctors can’t stand him at first, but his sincerity and dedication win them over. In this hospital, Ali finds the family he's always longed for.
