MediaHub teams up with GeoPhil to co-produce Turkish dramas

MediaHub and Geophil have announced a new partnership to produce Turkish dramas together in Turkey. ‘’ The appetite for well produced Turkish content is only getting stronger," Kerim Emrah Turna said. "Geophil and Robin Philip are invaluable partners not just in the Asia and MENA region, but also globally. We’re looking forward to collaborating again this time as independent partners.’’

The purpose of the new venture is to MediaHub’s expertise in Turkish dramas and distribution as well as Geophil’s co-production handling across various markets. Geophil was born as a print media distribution company in 1985 and eventually combined the print and visual mediums by focusing on script adaptations. Geophil now operates as a content producer across print, audio and video production and aims to match the best stories with the best mediums globally .

The collaboration will be led will be Kerim Emrah Turna, Managing Director of MediaHub and Robin Phillip, Managing Director of Geophil.  The first series born out of the partnership is expected to go on set as early as June 2023 with more projects on slate. The companies are keeping the details of their upcoming titles under wraps for now.

Phillip joined Geophil last year after working in leadership roles at OTT platform Viu and media giant Zee Entertainment in a career spanning over 16 years. The two directors have a long working relationship, dating back to their days in corporate media. MediaHub was founded by Kerim Emrah Turna in 2021 as a global rights management and distribution company following his departure as the director of Kanal D International after 15 years with the organization. In the past 2 years, the company has prioritized IP Investments and distribution in collaboration with distinguished partners around the globe. With the announcement of this new partnership MediaHub begins its production activities and will act as the sole distributor of the titles produced.
