“Zenith”
KO Distribution will be attending this year’s MIPTV 2023 with a line-up of programs highlighted by their brand-new singing competition “Zenith”, an original-concept variety music series designed with glamour in mind. The show gathers well known singers from different generations to compete against each other on a large, arena-style stage in a weekly singing in front of an audience made up of 100 judges who are also grouped by generation: Boomers, Gen X, Gen Y, and Gen Z.
Over 13 weeks, 24 artist-singers, 6 per generation, will revisit popular hits from yesterday and today in show-stopping large-scale performances. Hosted by popular French-Canadian TV and radio personality, Veronique Cloutier, a diverse group of artists take-on the challenge of presenting their extraordinary musical talents with the aim of winning over the audience.
The series launched on ICI Radio-Canada in January to rave reviews and KO Distribution recently announced that it has completed a deal with Mediawan Prod who have taken the option rights for all European French-speaking territories; with additional deals secured with Tresor TV who are taking the exclusive option rights for German-speaking territories and non-exclusive for Austria; the German-speaking Belgian Territory, Alto Adige, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Switzerland; Banijay Italia for Italy; and Lavinia Audiovisual for Spain; as well as Mediawan Finland for Finland.
Additional MIPTV offerings from the company include: "Double Fault" featuring Eric Bruneau ("Coroner"); and "Fragments" written by Serge Boucher ("Fragile").
