Canadian company KO Distribution announced an agreement to bring the entertainment spectacle, “Zenith” to international audiences with the announcement that Catalonia’s 3Cat has greenlit production of its own original production of the musical competition series. The deal was bartered by Lavinia Audiovisual, who secured the format rights and are set to produce the series next fall.

"We are delighted to witness ‘Zenith’ our extraordinary musical competition, capturing the interest of Catalonia’s 3Cat, marking a significant endorsement of the show's universal appeal," said Mia Desroches, Vice-President, International Sales & Partnerships, KO Distribution. "We are very pleased that the creators of Zenith have trusted in the experience and professionalism of Lavinia Audiovisual to adapt the format in our country”.

“‘Zenith’ is a talent show that, with its approach, becomes a novel and original format with the ability to appeal to all audiences. Our goal now will be to produce an adaptation where we gather the best talent along with visually attractive staging similar to the Canadian version," added Rubén Mayoral, Chief Content Officer at Grupo Lavinia. "We discovered ‘Zenith’ a year ago here at MIPTV, and It makes us very proud to announce the first adaptation of the format along with producing company Lavinia Audiovisual and distributing company KO Distribution", said Cristian Trepat, head of content at 3Cat.”

“Zenith” takes the stage as a larger-than-life musical competition, set in a grand arena where four artists from different generations compete weekly in a 60-minute extravaganza. The format unfolds in front of 100 spectator-judges representing Gen Z, Gen Y, Gen X, and the Boomers. Each week, the artists deliver breathtaking performances, seamlessly blending chart-toppers from various eras. To add to the challenge, they must then take on a karaoke-style performance without prior rehearsals. The ultimate goal is to crown a winner at the season's end – an artist capable of captivating all generations with a timeless voice that transcends styles, genres, and eras.

Additionally, KO Distribution has secured new format deals with Bandicoot in the United Kingdom and Eureka Productions in Australia. These latest partnerships mark a strategic move for KO Distribution, extending the reach of Zenith to international audiences. As a testament to the show's universal appeal, production companies and producers worldwide are now eyeing opportunities to bring their own versions of Zenith to new territories.
