The Turkish drama distributor Mistco has announced new deals for “Melek: A Mother’s Struggle” and “Hold My Hand” in Ukraine.

After its successful debut in Turkey, “Melek: A Mother’s Struggle,” broadcasted on TRT 1 and produced by Us Yapım, is now on air on Ukrainian network Inter UA. The series, which is being broadcasted on Wednesday nights, tells Melek’s struggle with life challenges all alone with her children, while she is also with deep regrets for leaving her family and the man who was in love with her.

Furthermore, Inter UA and Mistco have also sealed a deal for the bestselling title “Hold My Hand,” which is a love story which starts with tragedy but becomes later fortune, from TRT1 and Us Yapım.

“Our foremost priority was to get the audience to believe that the story occurs within a family similar to their ones. Turkish people generally attach utmost importance to their families. We used the Turkish family values intensely in the series. But while doing so, we cared not to detach from the universality of love, kindness, and conscience in our stories. So, we have reached the audiences from all around the world with our titles,”  commented Sureyya Onal, the producer of “Melek: A Mother’s Struggle” and “Hold My Hand”.

Aysegul Tuzun, Managing Director at Mistco, said: “We are very happy to make our first deal with Inter UA for our successful brands ‘Melek: A Mother’s Struggle’ and ‘Hold My Hand’. ‘Melek: A Mother’s Struggle’ is doing well in Turkey despite huge competition and our expectation is high for international sales. Besides this title, ‘Hold My Hand’ is still our one of driven content that has been sold to over 30 countries as of now”.
