Following its sale to Divinity (Mediaset) in Spain, where it launched in February, Mistco’s successful drama “Surprise Marriage” has been licensed to Israel and Hungary. The show was produced by BSK Yapim for TRT1 in Turkey, and stars Turkish superstar Can Yaman.
In the story, Tarık (Can Yaman) and Itır (Yeliz Kuvancı) are two youngsters who secretly got married in the last year of university. Both Tarık's mother and Itır's father are widowers and have been at odds for 36 years. Even so, both had been in love in the past, but ended up marrying other people, something that their respective children are unaware of. In spite of everything, the return to the neighborhood of the young couple produces an improvement in the relations between both families.
