Turkish distributor Mistco announced that after the successful launch in Chile, where it debuted under the name of “Almas Heridas,” the drama “The Innocents” has been sold to nine more territories in Latin America, as it is now heading to Ecuador, Peru, Paraguay, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Guatemala, Costa Rica, and El Salvador.

Based on a true-life story and adapted to the screen from the memories of psychiatrist Gulseren Budayicioglu, the series was the highest-rated drama of the season in Turkey. Produced by OGM Pictures and broadcasted on TRT 1, the show offers a unique story with psychological background.

In the plot of “The Innocents,” looking like a young, handsome, and charismatic businessman from the outside, Han is filled with his family’s painful memories and isolates himself from any social activity or any kind of joy until the day he sees Inci and immediately falls in love with her. For the first time in his life, Han will seek out his own happiness.

"We are so proud to see that ‘The Innocents’ is travelling well. What makes the drama special is that it is a unique story that has never been told, and also the harmony between the actors. It gets the appreciation of the audience in the world like in Turkey, so we are proud to be part of such a unique project,"  said Aysegul Tuzun, Managing Director at Mistco.
