The awards celebrate the remarkable achievements of some extraordinary people and their commitment to saving Planet Earth. The awards will also come to Italy next autumn; more territories will be confirmed later this year. The award categories and winners are as follows: Humanitarian of the Year Gal Gadot and Corporation of the Year. “These international awards were created to emphasize the qualities of those who fight for the environment and those who are committed to the future of our planet," Luigi Latini, creator of MeteoHeroes, said. "We want to give a voice and recognition to those who believe in this mission and help others find strength and courage to become real-life MeteoHeroes.”
The show follows a group of six pint-sized superheroes, each of whom represents a different continent. They travel the globe to fight climate change disasters using their unique superhuman abilities to control weather phenomena. With humor and respect for its audience, the series sends an important message to children: You don’t need superpowers to save the world.
