Movistar+ has completed the acquisition of the broadcasting rights to the Bundesliga through the 2023/2024 season. This news comes in addition to other major agreements closed in the last year with UEFA, NBA, ACB, FOM and DAZN, creating an unprecedented range of sports content accessible to the platform’s different customers.

The Bundesliga is one of the most competitive leagues in Europe and has been a benchmark in growth and projection over the last decade, with several clubs at the forefront of international football, featuring stars of the stature of Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski. On the first match weekend, Movistar+ will broadcast five live matches on Movistar Champions League, one of which, Borussia Monchengladbach vs Bayern Munich, will also be broadcast on #Vamos.

The five featured matches are: Borussia Monchengladbach vs Bayern Munich (August 13 on Movistar Champions League and #Vamos), Wolfsburg vs Bochum 1848 (August 14 on Movistar Liga de Campeones), Union Berlin vs Bayer Leverkusen (August 14 on Movistar Liga de Campeones), Borussia Dortmund vs Eintracht Frankfurt (August 14 on Movistar Liga de Campeones), and Mainz 05 vs Leipzig (August 15 on Movistar Liga de Campeones).

The Bundesliga joins Movistar’s agreements with LaLiga and UEFA, its 25 years of bringing basketball to a new level with ACB and NBA, its strong bond with the world of motorsport with Formula 1, the recent inclusion of DAZN content on the platform, the major agreements reached with Discovery to broadcast tennis, and the partnership with Eurosport to broadcast the main events in the world of golf and the increasingly popular rugby.
