RESHEF LEVI: "I'M A BIG DREAMER"

Starring, written and inspired by Reshef Levi’s own life experiences, the Israeli TV series "Nehama" (10x52’) is a very hit show in Israel and it also has been sold to Canal+ in France and Topic in the US. "It's a very true show, it's a lot about my life", details Reshef Levi in a chat with Emmanuelle Guilbart, CEO and Co-Funder at About Premium Content, the distributor who handles the international distribution of the show.

Nehama's plot it's about Guy Nehama, a guy with has a great life : a wonderful wife, five beautiful children, a big house in Tel-Aviv, and a well-paid job in a high-tech company. Everything could be perfect if he didn’t dwell on his old dream – becoming a famous stand-up artist – and didn’t keep blaming his family for giving up on it. But when his wife brutally dies in a car accident, Nehama’s life is turned upside down. With five children he barely knows to take care of, he decides that now is the time to follow his dream.

"The series has a lot of laughs and the tone is very personal", asserted Levi who has seven children in the real life. "I love movies and shows that are comedy and drama at the same time and I tried to do that", affirmed "Nehama" writer and creator. Levi also opened the possibility to a second season of the series but he clarified is working on other projects right now. "I'm not sure if in the following years I will develop a second season, 'Nehama' is a closed story", he asserted.

The Israeli TV series, produced by HOT, took home the award for Best Performance at Canneseries 2019. "Always I do a show have big dreams, I'm a big dreamer", said Levi.  The dramedy "Nehama" was directed by Tomer Shani and starred Reshef Levi, Shalom Michaelshvili, Liron Weismann.
