A new comprehensive agreement between Sky Germany and Sony Pictures Television will enhance Sky’s film and entertainment offering in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland for the coming years, featuring exclusive series and an extensive film library. As part of the licensing partnership, Sky has secured a volume deal for selected series from Sony Pictures Television, including exclusive first-run rights on Sky. Among them are the highly anticipated adaptation of William Golding’s classic “Lord of the Flies” and the thriller series “Red Eye” starring Jing Lusi and Richard Armitage.

In addition, “50 Years of Roland Kaiser – A Life for Music” will have its TV and streaming premiere on Sky shortly after its theatrical release. Sky customers will also continue to have access to numerous fan favorites from Sony Pictures Television’s extensive catalog, such as “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” and “Uncharted.”

“With Sony Pictures Television, we are entering another comprehensive partnership that, together with NBCU, Sky Studios, and many other licensing partners, ensures a diverse and extensive premium offering for the coming years,” said Elke Walthelm, Chief Operating Officer at Sky Germany. “Sony Pictures Television stands worldwide for first-class storytelling and iconic entertainment — and that’s exactly what we want to offer our customers. By renewing our partnership, we’re expanding our content portfolio with exclusive series highlights and beloved Sony classics — a strong package for everyone who loves great entertainment.”
