"I Am Bond GG Bond"
Winsing Animation has officially announced that "I Am Bond GG Bond", the 20th anniversary feature film of the beloved GG Bond franchise, will premiere in theaters across China on October 1, 2025.
Unlike previous "GG Bond" films, which primarily targeted children, this milestone production takes a bold step into all-ages storytelling. With a fresh narrative format and direction, the film brings back the humor and wit of the first version of GG Bond while exploring themes designed to resonate across generations, bringing the old and new versions of GG Bond together on screen, placing them in dramatic conflict, and driving the story forward.
As the 10th theatrical title in the series, "I Am Bond GG Bond" follows the story of a once-famous actor, GG Bond himself, grappling with career setbacks before staging a comeback. Mixing the franchise’s signature slapstick comedy with relatable reflections on workplace pressures, resilience, and generational understanding, the film delivers fun for young audiences along with resonance for adults.
According to Winsing’s Vice President and Film Director Lu Jinming, the production was in development for two years and represents a breakthrough in positioning, themes, and production quality. “'GG Bond' is not just an animated character, but a cultural touchstone for multiple generations,” Lu said, emphasizing Winsing’s commitment to creating stories that both entertain and inspire.
Huang Long, General Manager of Winsing’s Film Division and the Film Producer, added that the "GG Bond" franchise continues to evolve as a full-scale IP ecosystem, combining content, consumer products, and cultural experiences to reach audiences of all ages.
With this exciting lineup, Winsing will also be attending TIFFCOM 2025 this October to connect with industry professionals and showcase its latest titles. Highlights will include "I Am Bond GG Bond", the brand new animated TV series "GOGOBUS S17: Space Trip" (premiering September 25), and the in-production theatrical film of the popular Racing TV series, set to launch in 2026.
By presenting these flagship titles, Winsing continues to demonstrate its strength as a strong IP-driven animation company, committed to creating content that entertains audiences of all ages while fostering strategic global partnerships.
