Heading the special anniversary year of 2025, French distributor ZED is boosting its history offer through a wide range of titles to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of WWII, among its presales and completed films. ZED has a catalogue of approximately 50 programs (series and one-offs), revolving around the second world war thematic, the upcoming launches include "The Sound and The Fury" (4x52’), an unprecedented immersion to capture the full impact of a destructive global conflict, through fully restored, colorized archives and visually striking graphics. The series directed by Mickaël Gamrasni, produced by Program33 for primetime broadcast on France 2, to be delivered by Spring 2025.

"Auschwitz, Voices of Survivors" (5x45’) is a poignant documentary to tell the story of deportation to Auschwitz through the words of 46 Jewish survivors, 80 years after the liberation of the camp.The title directed by Catherine Bernstein, produced by Kuiv Productions & INA for France Télévisions, Figaro TV, Česká Televize, Canal+ Polska & TV5 Monde, to be delivered in November 2024.

"The Nazis’ Cut and Run" (52') is an investigation into the Catholic Church’s secret network that helped Nazis flee Europe after WWII. The film directed by Anne Véron, produced by Alma Productions for France Télévisions, to be delivered in November 2025.

"Unmasking The Killers of The Third Reich" (52'). A previously undiscovered photo album reveals unknown details about the radicalization of young men and their terrible contribution to the Nazi concentration camps. The title directed by Barbara Necek and Susann Reich, produced by ZED and Spiegel TV for France Télévisions and MDR, to be delivered by Fall 2024.

"Kristallnacht: The Nazi Fury" (2x52’ & 90’), on the night of November 9-10, 1938, a terrible wave of anti-Semitic violence, known as “Kristallnacht” broke out across the Reich: the very first pogrom in German history, and a prelude to the Shoah. The project directed by Marie-Pierre Camus & Vincent Guillaume, produced by Les Films en Vrac for ARTE France and Histoire TV, to be delivered in March 2025.

"Memories of WWII" (52), during the war, a handful of amateur filmmakers captured their daily lives in Normandy. By bringing these exceptional archives out of oblivion, this film immerses us in the lives of those who lived it. Directed by Stéphane Miquel, and produced by Keren Productions for France Télévisions, the film is already available.
