French distributor ZED to launch two expected documentaries that tackle key chapters in American’s modern history: "Ku Klux Klan, an American History" and "An American Affair: Trump & the FBI".

“Beyond the subject, the strength of these programmes lies in their story-telling,” says Chloé Persyn-Preljocaj, Head of Distribution at ZED. "These landmark documentaries are led by talented, award-winning directors who brought together powerful archives, gripping testimonies and built captivating narratives."

At a time when racial conflicts are raging worldwide and on the American soil, ZED presents "Ku Klux Klan, an American History" (Ku Klux Klan, une Histoire Américaine) (2x52’), this 2-part history documentary revisits the secret history of America’s white supremacist organization, from its creation to the present day.

Bringing together numerous archives and interviews with historians and witnesses who have faced the violence of the Klan, it explores over a century of racial segregation and racism.

Directed by award-winning David Korn-Brzoza, produced by Roche Productions for ARTE France, this 2x52’ is now available and has already been sold to France Télévisions, RTBF, VRT, RSI, TG4, SVT, NRK, Ceska TV, WELTN24, FOXTEL, TV5 Québec, TVE and YLE.

On the other hand, "An American Affair: Trump & The FBI” (Trump en guerre contre le FBI) (52’ & 86’) explores Trump’s secret ties to the FBI. Using privileged access to FBI officials, this exclusive investigation proposes to layout the inside story of Trump’s potentially compromised presidency, examined by key people who have crossed his path - among others, Myron Fuller, the first FBI agent who met Trump back in the ’80s.

Directed by Fabrizio Calvi and David Carr-Brown, and produced by award-winning producer Pumpernickel Films and Allumage for France Télévisions, this documentary has just been completed. It has already been sold to RTS, RTBF, Radio Canada, Telefonica Spain, and RSI.
